cott Murdock, the quiet behind-the-scenes guy,
does most of the higher-end technical work on this site. An aging old geezer of 28, Scott
(or "Scoot" as we all call him, so that is NOT a typo) has been a fan of the best and
worst Hollywood has to offer ever since 1981. That was the year he first
visted a "video store" to rent a movie. Actually it was not so much a
"video store" as we know it, it was a TV and appliance shop where the owner
has eight movies he had taped off HBO and would rent out for a week for $5
each. "Black Beauty" was his very first rental, but the following week
would be the film that would consume his soul for years to come, "Flash
Gordon".
Scott was raised in a semi-rural, semi-religious environment, but found escape from that through such fine works as "The Creature Wasn't Nice, "Oh Heavenly Dog", and "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace". Scott will argue endlessly about any topic he believes in, and will fight Ken to the death defending the James Bond genre as good movies. Or defending the concept of the Sentient Sprite Can (don't ask). Scott tends to be more conservative in pronouncing a movie as bad, preferring to make allowances for such things as low budgets and intentional campiness. However, this means that when Scott says a movie sucks, watch out... it truly does suck! Scott met Ken back in 1989 when Scott worked in the computer lab at their college and Ken decided to start dating one of Scott's many roommates. They have been an arguing pair ever since. Bjula hooked up with them in 1992 and has regreted it ever since.
